OUR STORY
Since opening our doors on November 6, 1976, Sunrise Surf Shop has been a cornerstone of North Florida’s surf and skate community. Built on passion, hard work, and dedication, Sunrise has grown into the region’s favorite core surf and skate shop. Still family-owned and operated, we take pride in providing surfers and skaters with everything they need. To everyone who has supported us over the past 50 years—thank you. We wouldn’t be here without you. Here’s to 50 more. Cheers!

OUR MOTTO
Throughout the years, Sunrise’s motto has been a slogan coined by our surf and skate teams: “surf and skate with the best.” The shop has helped athletes achieve their individual goals and aspirations within their own sport. Here is Justin Quintal after winning his first Longboard world title.
OUR WAY
Sunrise has yet to lose sight of what is important – giving back to the local community. Sunrise is an avid sponsor of surf contests, charities, local schools and other sports-affiliated teams. The shop is involved with various clothing drives and surf camps dedicated to children with autism and contributors of the Donna annual run for breast cancer. This past year, we hosted the inaugural Thompson Brother Classic surf contest and were able to raise $15,000 that went directly back to families battling cancer.
OUR TEAM
In recent years, the Sunrise surf team has dominated the regional and national surf shop challenges sponsored by Oakley. Since 2007, Sunrise has won 9 regional events and in that time has brought home three national titles, earning the title of the best surf shop in the U.S.
