Pitting the St. Augustine Board Riders against the Jacksonville Board Riders, the Florida Cup kicked off in epic conditions at the Hanna Park poles.
Atlantic Beach, FL - It all came down to the final heat of the day--the waning minutes in fact. As far as Florida surf contests go, Sunday’s inaugural Oldest Vs Boldest, a kickoff to the Florida Board Riders Florida Cup series, almost seemed scripted. An illustrious group of former (and likely future) East Coast champs battled it out in clean, post-Nor’easter conditions at a premier sandbar with Florida Cup points--and regional bragging rights--on the line.
